Patricia McDonald Shurrab

Translator & Editor

Born in a fishing village in the Pacific Northwest, Peru would become my home for twenty years. I raised my family in Lima and came to love the opalescent twilight of this desert city by the sea.

Now based in Vancouver, Canada, I live on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples.

I am a member of the Society of Translators and Interpreters of BC (STIBC) and translate diverse content from Spanish into English.

As an editor, graduate of the SFU Editing Certificate program, I specialize in stylistic and substantive editing.

With a background in Cultural Anthropology & Latin American Studies (SFU) and Equity Studies (AU), I live and work from a belief in our shared humanity.
